Thank you for participating in your child’s education by attending parent-teacher conferences. Our students depend on each of us to support
them during these formative years. The end of the First Quarter is Friday, November 5.
Sunday, October 31 following the 10:00 Mass, Fr. Robert will lead an Our Lady of the Rosary procession. All families are encouraged to attend.
All Saints Day Celebration
On Monday, November 1, our students are encouraged to dress as their favorite saint for school Mass at 8:15 and several games of BINGO in the
school gym. Thank you to Suzie Linder, Trisha Matzek and Tracey Murphy for your help with BINGO. Students must be in their school uniform
under their saint costume.
First Friday
We will be attending school Mass on Friday, November 5. Students will spend time in Adoration during the morning and attend Benediction at
12:15.
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 8. Teachers will be attending in-service.
Veteran’s Day Recognition
St. Joseph Students will be honoring all veterans on Thursday, November 11 at 10:30 AM in the school gym. All veterans are invited to attend. We
would like to especially welcome parents and grandparents of our students. A free lunch will be served to the veterans that attend. Please RSVP
to the school office, 715-262-5912 by Tuesday, November 9.
Home and School meeting
The next Home and School meeting will be held on Monday, November 15 at 6:30 in the Music Room. Several activities need to be planned and
we are looking for volunteers.
Advent Centers
Grades 1-6 are invited to the Advent centers in the school gym on Wednesday, November 17.
Thanksgiving lunch
We will be holding our annual Thanksgiving parent lunch on Monday, November 22. The RSVP will be sent in 2 weeks. Cost of an adult meal is $3
and pre-school child meal is $1.50.
November 30 CARE groups
Sign Language
Have your children been speaking with their mouth full? They can be eating and talking and still be polite! Our students are off to a great start
learning sign language. Mrs. Laust visits each classroom twice a week to teach our students basic American Sign Language.
Concepts currently being taught are: the alphabet, basic vocabulary and the facial gestures and expressions used in American Sign Language.
The students are able to form basic sentences and questions. They also know how to answer questions appropriately.
Your students will be learning lots of new language. Ask them to sign: Good morning , How are you?, and My name is…
Magazine Sale
We have concluded our magazine sale for this year. We have earned $225 from the School Mall sales and $4,232 from QSP.
The four top magazine selling families will each receive a $25 SCRIP gift certificate. They are:

Server training
Father Robert and Deacon Rynda will be providing server training for 5th grade students (and any older children) who might be interested.
Training will take place in two sessions and students are asked to be at both sessions, one for instruction and one for practice. The dates of
training are:
Saturday, November 13th 9-11 a.m.
Saturday, November 20th 9-11 a.m.
