Students Learn to Give

We have various ways students are encouraged to give of their time, talent and treasure throughout the year.

Dimes for Darlene

Our school sponsors a child who lives in poverty. Our current child is a fifteen year old girl named Darlene Espinosa from the Philippine Islands. She is a loving and caring person. At school she likes to study Filipino, art, and physical education. She loves to draw and dance. Darlene lives with her mom, dad, and four brothers. Their home is constructed of wood walls, a zinc roof and a hard cement floor. The house does have electricity and they use a charcoal stove for cooking. Darlene's father works as a cell phone repair man but often his income is not enough to provide for their family. We set a class goal to help provide Christian formation, education, medical and dental attention, vocational training, nutrition and clothing.

Class Silent Auction Baskets for Gala

Fall Festival / Treasure Jars

Penny War

This is a fundraiser/contest organized by our 6th graders to raise money for people in need. Students bring in change to earn points on a specific day. The money is added to the jars throughout the day (pennies & bills are positive points, and silver coins are negative) The winning class gets to choose the color of the Walk for Virtues shirt.

Mite Boxes

Students earn/collect money throughout lent to give to the MCA; The Missionary Childhood Association. This program is inspired by “Children helping Children.” We pray, fast and give alms for others.

Feed My Starving Children

A field trip that allows our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to give though acts of service.

School Carnival

This is a family event organized by our 6th graders. This is a fun way for our students in 5th and 6th grade to give though acts of service.
